When I first started crocheting these little cupcakes soon became my favorite projects! They are so fast, very versatile and just make me smile. I worked at a cute coffee shop together with a very talented baker. His cupcake creations inspired me to make these little guys. Use them as toys instead of plastic or add a string to make ornaments. I added a carrot because Easter is coming up – how cute will they look in an Easter basket!? Keep reading for the free crochet cupcake pattern!

I like to use Sugar ‘n Creme 4 ply Cotton Yarn in
bright Orange and White
for the carrot use a size smaller hook than for the rest of the cupcake
use any green yarn scraps for the carrot greens
Polyfill for stuffing (get this at a craft store or from Amazon here!)
The size hook will be determined by how tight your stitches are. Make a mr, sc 10 in ring, join, ch 1, sc around and make three more rounds. Now stuff your “tube” with polyfill stuffing. If any of the stuffing peeks out through your stitches, you should choose a smaller hook!
Unless otherwise specified always join, ch 1 and start in the same st as joining!
