Free Crochet Bowls Pattern
I just love the look of painted bowls made out of wood or ceramic. After seeing them in magazines and in stores my mind immediately went to yarn (of course!) and I just had to come up with a crochet version. It took some tweaking to get the shape right but now the free crochet bowl pattern is now ready to be shared.
You can use these crochet bowls for earrings, rings and other nick knacks around the house. The quick and easy crochet project is also perfect for a last minute hostess gift or a very inexpensive bathroom spruce up.

Follow the pattern to make small painted crochet bowls or use a double strand and a larger hook (I used an I hook/5.5 mm) to make them big enough for bracelets or little toys. This free modern crochet pattern is easy to follow and you will achieve the nice shape by using the moss stitch, one of my favorite single crochet variations.
If you know my blog you might have noticed that I am very partial to cotton yarn. Naturally I made the bowls out of this favorite fiber of mine but you can use any scrap yarn you like. Below is a list of materials I used to crochet the painted bowls:
1 skein of Peaches and Creme Ecru
20 grams or less of Peaches and Creme in
Ocean Coral, Gold and Aquamarine
4.00mm (US size G) hook
