Of course I always feel like my current project is my favorite but this crochet poncho really is! My husband is a big romantic and surprised me with a marriage vows renewal at the beach for Valentine’s day. What a wonderful coincidence that I had just fallen head over heels for the mandala yarn cakes and was in the middle of crocheting this Poncho. I quickly finished and got to wear it for my beach re-wedding! This makes me especially happy to share the free pattern here with you. Keep reading for the free crochet yarn cake poncho pattern!

I have been working on this design for a while and it was supposed to be an ear warmer at first. After some crocheting, though, I knew I wanted to turn it into one of these super practical messy bun hats that nearly broke the internet. The pattern is not necessarily for beginners (unless you are ambitious!) but it’s a really fun, boho – y stitch combination. I just love the texture and it combines everything I enjoy about crochet! I think it is well worth learning and maybe you’ll want to make a cowl or scarf with these stitches as well. Keep reading for the free crochet Messy Bun hat pattern!

Crochet Super Scarf: free pattern
I have always loved long, over sized scarves so this ‘wear a blanket around your neck’ trend is making me very happy. Unfortunately I live in Florida so when I set out to make my own crochet super scarf pattern I knew I had to cut down on the bulk a little and make it somewhat lacy. I came up with a simple shell stitch scarf pattern that will let me and others from a warmer climate, participate in this trend but not get heat stroke in December 🙂

I am so excited to introduce you to my free Fall Afghan crochet pattern. This Afghan pattern is a wonderful addition to your autumn must make crocheting collection. I have designed it for a fall wedding and used a beautiful assortment of Sport weight yarn from Knitpicks.com in warm, leafy tones. I love how it came out.
The stitch used is a variation of the waffle stitch and I was first introduced to it while crocheting a Christening gown. I think the stitch makes for a really nice texture and drape for a lighter throw.
