When I first started crocheting these little cupcakes soon became my favorite projects! They are so fast, very versatile and just make me smile. I worked at a cute coffee shop together with a very talented baker. His cupcake creations inspired me to make these little guys. Use them as toys instead of plastic or add a string to make ornaments. I added a carrot because Easter is coming up – how cute will they look in an Easter basket!? Keep reading for the free crochet cupcake pattern!

Free Crochet Bowls Pattern
I just love the look of painted bowls made out of wood or ceramic. After seeing them in magazines and in stores my mind immediately went to yarn (of course!) and I just had to come up with a crochet version. It took some tweaking to get the shape right but now the free crochet bowl pattern is now ready to be shared.
You can use these crochet bowls for earrings, rings and other nick knacks around the house. The quick and easy crochet project is also perfect for a last minute hostess gift or a very inexpensive bathroom spruce up.

Crochet and amusement
Silliness as one of the ten most common positive emotions we can use to boost our happiness and why crochet is great in times like these. Keep reading for a list of a few of my favorite silly crochet patterns.
In light of recent events I feel I need to write about this happiness inducing emotion. Life around us has been pretty bleak and I find it difficult to stay on track with trying to improve my happiness level. This is where silliness comes in. Taking a break from reality and redirecting your attention to something irrelevant and amusing might be more beneficial than you’d think! Read more after the tag
Mandalas for the #Mandalasformarinke Project
Depression has reared it’s ugly head and claimed a beautiful member of the online crochet community. Marinke (Wink), the woman behind A Creative Being. I have come across her colorful Blog many times and it has given me so much inspiration, always leaving me with an urge to create. Sadly we have recently lost a family member on my husbands side to suicide and watching him and his father grieve makes me feel deeply for Winks family. This last resort leaves the survivors with a heart filled with “what if’s” and this nagging question might be the hardest to overcome.
Crochet Rainbow Nesting Bowls Toy
In honor of my beautiful April 2015 Rainbow Baby Boy I have decided to stray from my usual color choices (scary stuff!) and go a little crazy. These colorful Waldorf bowls are designed to promote spatial awareness. Little ones are attracted to their bright colors and will stack and nest them for hours!

Free Crochet Pattern for soft structured carrier Drool Pads
My sweet 10 week old baby just graduated from a wrap to a big boy carrier. I had bought the Ergo soft structured carrier after many hours of research and could not be happier.
While I was doing all this research I came across the drool/teething covers you can get online for these carriers and didn’t really think twice about them. Where do you think his favorite chewing spot was just seconds after we tried it on for the first time? Well, yes. Those wonderfully textured tan straps!
I looked at my stash of cotton yarn and my vegetable ivory buttons and decided there was no reason to wait and order them. I love crochet!

Crafty use for empty coffee cans
I have a confession to make. While I love purging and one day dream of living almost possession less in one of those sweet, little tiny houses, I am a hoarder at the same time. I hoard craft things, or things that, in my mind, just need to be made into something else. I always feel like it would be a sin to throw them out. If you have ever seen the show hoarders, this is step one of going down to crazy town, but I have finally done it. I have found a use for my full box of empty coffee cans! (Yay!)
Free crochet pattern for a soap saver and matching scrubbies
I made up this pattern when I needed a simple but homemade gift for my boss. She is a lovely person and I really wanted t0 go overboard and make her a huge throw or a pouf or something but that might have come off as a little weird… So soap saver and scrubbies seemed like a more appropriate option 🙂
