Crochet Cupcake Pattern

crochet food patternWhen I first started crocheting these little cupcakes soon became my favorite projects! They are so fast, very versatile and just make me smile. I worked at a cute coffee shop together with a very talented baker. His cupcake creations inspired me to make these little guys. Use them as toys instead of plastic or add a string to make ornaments. I added a carrot because Easter is coming up – how cute will they look in an Easter basket!? Keep reading for the free crochet cupcake pattern! Continue Reading

Crochet Super Scarf Pattern

Crochet Super Scarf: Ā free pattern

I have always loved long, over sized scarves so this ‘wear a blanket around your neck’ trend is making me very happy. Unfortunately I live in Florida so when I set out to make my own crochet super scarf pattern I knew I had to cut down on the bulk a little and make it somewhat lacy. I came up with a simple shell stitch scarf pattern that will let me and others from a warmer climate, participate in this trend but not get heat stroke in December šŸ™‚

Free Fall Afghan Pattern

Fall Crochet Afghan

I am so excited to introduce you to my free Fall Afghan crochet pattern. ThisĀ  Afghan pattern is a wonderful addition to your autumn must make crocheting collection. I have designed it for a fall wedding and used a beautiful assortment of Sport weight yarn from Knitpicks.com in warm, leafy tones. I love how it came out.

The stitch used is a variation of the waffle stitch and I was first introduced to it while crocheting a Christening gown. I think the stitch makes for a really nice texture and drape for a lighter throw.

Easy Carrier Teething Pads

Free Crochet Pattern for soft structured carrier Drool Pads

My sweet 10 week old baby just graduated from a wrap to a big boy carrier. I had bought the Ergo soft structured carrier after many hours of research and could not be happier.

While I was doing all this research I came across the drool/teething covers you can get online for these carriers and didn’t really think twice about them. Where do you think his favorite chewing spot was just seconds after we tried it on for the first time? Well, yes. Those wonderfully textured tan straps!

I looked at my stash of cotton yarn and my vegetable ivory buttons and decided there was no reason to wait and order them. I love crochet!
